Review: Yes To Tomatoes Facial Hydrating Lotion

As I was digging through one of my drawers the other day, I discovered a collection of samples that I had forgotten about :) So, instead of neglecting them further and letting them expire, I am going to use them all up and review them for you! First on the list is, Yes to Tomatoes Facial Hydrating Lotion,  I wanted to love it, I really did... But I didn't. I loved the way it smelled, but not so much how it felt. One of the perks of living in Louisiana is that you get to go from the air conditioner to the heater, all in one day.. lol. When it is cold, my skin is very dry. When it is hot, my skin is oily. So, since it is March in Louisiana, I was able to know in 2 days whether it would work on my skin. When my skin was really dry, it was not nearly moisturizing enough. My skin still felt really tight after using it. But when it was hot, and my face wasn't super dry, it felt like it left behind a greasy residue or something. Either way, I was not a fan at all! So I guess if you have neither oily nor dry skin... aka, Normal... then this will be perfect for you! But for me, sadly it was not :(

Mini Collective Haul and a Question!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!! Last night, I got in the mood to do a "holiday-themed" eyeshadow look and I was going to post pictures and all that jazz; however, when I got ready to do said eye-makeup look, I realized that I own no green eyeshadow :( I dug and dug through all of my stuff because I knew that somewhere I had to have something green, but no... I did not :( So, I was going to do a gold look in theme with "leprechaun's gold", but it just didn't look right. So.... I decided to post a really old haul from a few different places. Most of this was bought around the beginning of February, and I took photos of everything as soon as I got home with it, hoping that this would motivate me to put it up sooner, but obviously it did not... but anyways, I've rambled long enough... Hope you enjoy!

From Ulta...
Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Deep Conditioner*

Formula 10.0.6 One Smooth Operator Pore Clearing Scrub *

Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Mud Mask *

Nyx Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Pots n Pans

Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder in shade 130 - I didn't really like this... It was way too sheer. It almost looked like a translucent powder. Which if that is what you like in a powder, it will be great for you. I prefer my powder to have more coverage though, so I wasn't really a fan...

**From Rite Aid**
Wet N Wild  Fast Dry Nail Polish in How I Met Your Magenta - I tried so hard to get a photo of this on my nails. But it would NOT cooperate! No matter what lighting I tried, it kept coming out purple looking, which it is not... It is hot pink with little bitty goldish shimmers in it. very pretty!

Jane Blushstix in 03 Shimmering Pink - I found this in the clearance bin for $1 something, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it. I haven't actually worn it lol, so I can't tell you if it shows up nicely or lasts long. The reason I haven't worn it?? I should have paid attention to the word "Shimmering" because they weren't playing. It is like 90% shimmer. And the actual color is sort of a mauve... which I am not a fan of...

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Tone Restoring Shampoo - I still had about half a bottle left, but it was on sale for around $3 since they changed the packaging so I went ahead and grabbed it...

John Frieda Root Awakening Health Boosting Spray* - I had been wanting to try this for a while, and I think it was 50% off so I was all "woo hoo!!!!" If I recall correctly, this whole "haul" was around $12, I was highly excited...

**From Walgreens**

Tone Vino Moisture Body Wash - smells amazing! and makes my skin super soft :)

Biore Revitalize 4 in 1 Self Foaming Cleanser -  I'm sure you can guess why I bought this... $2!! lol. I bought the scrub too but somehow it didn't make it into the picture...

Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo/Conditioner -  Since I loved the deep conditioner I bought, I wanted to try the shampoo and conditioner... Review coming soon!

Sinful Colors Quick Dry Nail Polish - I have been wanting to get a "quick dry" polish for a while, and I saw this one and it was only $1.99 so I went ahead and got it... I don't have anything to compare it to, but from what I've noticed it works pretty good. The only thing I don't like about it is that is makes my polish look really dull.. So I have to put an extra clear coat over it and wait for it to dry, because if I paint this over it, then it really defeats the purpose...

*Now I have a (what I'm sure is a pretty dumb) question... About a month or so ago a website was offering these for free, so I got one :)
The problem is.... I don't know what the hell it is. I mean, obviously it's a nail stamping plate, but what exactly is that?? I just saw that is was free so I had to have it lol, but I have no clue what to do with it! I think that somehow you get that design onto your fingernails, but I haven't the slightest clue how you go about doing that. Do you paint the picture and then stick it to your nail??? I am seriously clueless about this lol. Someone please help! :)

** they are currently being offered for free again!!! just click on this link and follow the directions! I think there is a limited amount so you better hurry if you want one!!! Mine took kind of a long time to get here, so much that I had actually thought that I wasn't getting it lol. But I think it comes from China, so I'm assuming that takes a while :) Good luck! **

That is all for now! I hope you enjoyed it! Even though it was a million years late... Until next time, Rebecca.

February Favorites

I know! I know! I'm just as late on this as I was with my January Favorites. BUT it's not completely my fault this time :) I was originally late because my internet was being non-cooperative for a while... then when it decided to work, I got everything organized, took the photo, and was ready to post! Then, my computer decided to be non-cooperative and not read my camera :( I still don't know what it's deal was because it wouldn't work when I stuck the card in or when I plugged it up via usb cord... I know it wasn't my camera, because I tried 2 different ones. And I know it wasn't the usb port because it was picking up my wireless mouse... so idk. But after 5 days of fighting with it, my sometimes slow genius brain decided that restarting it would help, and alas! it did... So without further ado, I present to you my February Favorites!

Since my January Favs was painfully long, I decided this month (and probably every other month to come) that instead of picking my favorite foundation, eyeshadow, etc... that I was just going to pick the products that were my absolute can't live without products of the month. I think this is how it is really supposed to be, or at least that's how I see most people do it... but for my first time, I wanted to go through everything so that, if needed, I could always go back and use it for a reference point.... but anyways... on to the favorites...

**Back Row**
Pantene Humidity Protection Leave In Cream  (already described in my January Favorites )

Nexxus Sleek Finish Frizz Taming Silkening Lotion ( see Jan Favs )

John Frieda Root Awakening Health Boosting Spray ( OMG, this stuff is amazing!!!! I spray it on my roots, like instructed. then I spray just a small amount all over my hair. It makes my hair soooo soft! And when I blow dry it, it has virtually not tangles! which is saying a lot for my hair... usually when I dry it, even if I use a brush, I still have a zillion tangles. And it smells awesome!!! )

Got 2 B Guardian Angel Heat Protect N Flatten ( see Jan favs)

Formula 10.0.6 One Smooth Operator Pore Clearing Face Scrub ( I don't know if I am a huge fan of this yet... But I used it most of the month so I felt like it should be included. It smells great, and it exfoliates awesomely but that is part of the reason I don't like it. The exfoliating "beads" are very rough. Don't get me wrong, I love an exfoliator with lots and lots of beads, but these are really hard. It kind of feels like little rocks sliding across your face. But other than that, I loved it...)

Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra-Cleansing Mud Mask ( Now this, I am in love with! It is my absolute favorite mask I have ever used. It smells like orange juice! But in a good way.. lol. It goes on kind of white, it doesn't burn at all, which most masks do on my skin at first. It doesn't take long at all to dry. And did I mention it smells so yummy??? After I wash it off my skin feels super super soft! I am in love! )

Clean and Clear Finishes Pore Perfecting Moisturizer ( When I first tried this, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I mentioned it in my Jan Favs but I have a little bit more to say about it this month... I love the way it feels. It isn't greasy at all, but it is moisturizing enough for my dry spots :) While I can't say that it did anything to shrink/hide my pores, it doesn't clog them which is always a good thing... )

**Front Row**
Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Deep Conditioner ( This makes my hair really soft! When I first got it, I wasn't so sure about the smell... But after a while, I grew to like it. I can't really describe it... it's like kinda flowery, but not really.... )

Maybelline Eyeshadow Quad in Chai Latte (see Jan Favs)

Have you tried any of these products? If so, what did you think about them?? Until next time, Rebecca.

No, I'm not dead...

Hello! I know I've been slacking... *cough cough* again... BUT it's not completely my fault this time! I have been having internet problems lately which have prevented me from posting anything. But I have already taken pictures for a few posts I have planned... Why am I not posting one of them instead of another excuse blog?? Well, I wanted to do my February Favs first since it is already late due... But I will try my hardest to have it up tomorrow though :) Until next time, Rebecca
